The
"Agriturismo e Bed & Breakfast Stazzi La China" is a very young farm, born from
the common dream of two families, one brought by the South Africa winds, while
the other decided to stop in Sardinia after a long sailing trip in the
Mediterraneum. Sardinia is a common place of encounter,a generous and welcoming
earth, that with its nature and its people has fascinated in the course of the
centuries generations of travellers. The "'Agriturismo e Bed & Breakfast Stazzi
La China" grows up with the help of the local people, day by day. And you can
always learn new things, this land teaches you all its history, with its
mountains and its seas.
"Stazzi La
China" is the chosen name for the farm, and the name itself describes how the
land surface goes down to the river Liscia. All over the forty hectares old
olive trees offer their shelter from the sun and bad weather. The place is well
known in the area of the town of Luogosanto, thanks to the small church of San
Biagio,an ancient hermitage build centuries ago on the "Agriturismo e Bed &
Breakfast Stazzi La China" land. Every summer people come to the small church
of San Biagio, for a great festival of local traditions.
The
friends who come to visit us, often spend hours sheltered by the numerous
natural caves on the land, or they have a rest sitting on the big granite rocks,
from where it is possible to explore with a view all the valley.
After one
or more days spent sailing through the archipelago of Maddalena on the Pargher,
the oceanic sailing boat that still speaks about its adventures, some others
prefer having a glass of "mirto" liqueur made by us, sheltered in the shadow of
the olive trees.
During
winter time or autumn, some of our guests like to help us working in our
agriculture, collecting olives and looking after the animals, and we are
happy to invite them to eat with us, in the "stazzo antico", the main building
where we meet each other at the end of the day.
